A Motor Machine Gun Battery was provided to some Divisions to provide additional mobile machine gun assets.
No. 9 Battery, Motor Machine Guns, went to France with 12th (Eastern) Division and disembarked at Le Havre on 30 May, 1915.
As a unit of the 12th (Eastern) Division, it will have taken part in the following battles and engagements.
