Given the breadth of the VMGCRA collection, loans of items not readily required are available to established and reputable locations that can offer appropriate levels of security and responsibility.
British Muslim Heritage Centre, Manchester, UK (January 2016 to April 2017)
Following a request from the British Muslim Heritage Centre, based in Manchester, for assistance with a display about Muslims in the British Army, the VMGCRA provided a Vickers MG on loan, as well as a few accessories to enhance their display.
This provided a centre-piece of their exhibition for almost 18 months, during which time the exhibition was visited by various schools and both local and national representatives of the Muslim communities and the British Army and Greater Manchester Police.
