Israel did not purchase any Vickers themselves. However, after the ‘Six-Day War’ with Egypt in 1966, they utilised numbers of captured Egyptian stocks and converted these Mk. I guns from .303-inch to 7.92mm with the intention of using Browning M.G. belts.
