- Equipment – what did they need?
- Personnel – who were they and where did they come from?
- Information – what did they need to know?
- Doctrine, including tactics – how did they fight?
- Organisation – how were they structured?
- Infrastructure – where was their equipment built and where were they trained?
- Logistics – how did the people and equipment get to where they needed to fight?

This is a brilliant quick start guide to the Vickers machine gun in North West Europe. The book is very well written, using a clear font and featuring photographs and infographics that help make the information easy to understand and digest. While much of the information can be found elsewhere, the book’s introduction notes that its format is specifically designed to help readers find what they need with ease in on place.
Overall, it’s a very useful addition to any hoplology library and worth picking up.
