Description
We think this is by far one of the best publications on how the infantry of the British Army were organised in 1945. The purpose of the book was to provide personnel selection branch officers with the basic information on what was needed in different roles. They could then select the most suitable people coming forward.
It includes the infantry battalion, the divisional (machine gun) battalion, and the motor battalion. As well the role, it gives information on the training required and even the most common tasks such as setting up the 3-inch mortar, the Vickers MMG and even the 4.2-inch mortar.
