Purposeful and Basic Physical Training (1942)

Description

How fit were the men of the Second World War? This manual sets out the basic physical training and tests they needed to do. One of the key points is that physical training was ‘purposeful’ so endless hours in the gym weren’t required but stretcher carriers, loads under pressure, forced marches etc were all the order of the day.
