Written in the weeks after the start of the Second World War, this memorandum includes training for war in Great Britain, training of headquarters of formations and standing orders (operations. General training includes fieldcraft, anti-gas training, night training, training of units, training syllabusses (all arms), map reference codes, protection against air attack and observation, digging and field defences, anti-tank mines carried in mobile echelons, practice in towing M.T. vehicles, training manuals and pamphlets. Royal Artillery training includes lessons of anti-tank trials with 25-pr. and loads of 8-cwt. W/T trucks in Royal Horse Artillery and field artillery regiments.
