Vickers machine gun equipment lists – the G 1098

For those who have seen our video on spare parts development, you’ll have heard Rich reference the ‘G 1098’ documents for the Vickers spares. These are the schedules of equipment to be issued with the Vickers. Some interesting lists as they range from the gun and equipment itself, through the to contents of the spares and then the ‘sets’ of dial sight and aiming lamp equipment.

Obscure information, such as the issue of the monopod for Mark I guns, can only be gleaned from these lists.
