The 269th M.G. Coy. disembarked at le Havre on 15 January 1918 and joined the Division on 18 January 1918.
By 9 March 1918, it was amalgamated with the 47th, 48th and 49th Machine Gun Companies to form No. 16 Battalion, Machine Gun Corps.
