No. 2 Battalion, Machine Gun Corps

A Machine Gun Battalion of the Machine Gun Corps was attached to each Infantry Division and was formed of four MG Companies.

The 2nd Bn, MGC was formed on the 4 March 1918.

On the 11th November the 2nd Division was in VI. Corps reserve, and was billeted north of le Quesnoy. Ordered to the Rhine, the division began its advance on the 18th November, entered Germany on the 9th December, and on the 27th December reached its destination between Duren and Cologne.
