6th Brigade Machine Gun Company

A Machine Gun Company was attached to each Infantry Brigade and their subsequent Division.

2nd Bn. The South Staffordshire Regiment
13th Bn. The Essex Regiment
17th Bn. The Middlesex Regiment

The 6th Bde. M.G. Coy. was formed on 04 January 1916 from the Machine Gun Sections of the listed infantry battalions.

As a unit of the 2nd Division, it will have taken part in the following battles and engagements.
